Today, Iran will be hit very hard’: Trump warns ‘complete destruction and certain deaths’

He added that Iran is “being beat to HELL” and has “apologized and surrendered to its Middle East neighbors,” promising not to attack them further — a concession he attributed solely to “the relentless U.S. and Israeli attack.” Trump claimed Iran, once aspiring to “take over and rule the Middle East,” has now become “THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST” for the first time in thousands of years and will remain so “until they surrender or, more likely, completely collapse!”

Washington, March 7, 2026 — US President Donald Trump escalated his rhetoric against Iran on Saturday, declaring that the country “will be hit very hard” today and warning that previously untouched areas and groups could face “complete destruction and certain death” amid the ongoing US-Israeli military operation.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote: “Today Iran will be hit very hard! Under serious consideration for complete destruction and certain death, because of Iran’s bad behavior, are areas and groups of people that were not considered for targeting up until this moment in time.”

The remarks come as the US-Israel campaign — dubbed Operation Epic Fury — enters its second week. The operation, launched in late February, has involved intense airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, military infrastructure, naval assets, missile production sites, and senior leadership targets. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was among those reported killed in the initial wave of attacks.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a pre-recorded apology to Gulf neighbors earlier on Saturday for retaliatory missile and drone strikes that spilled into their territory. He stated Iran had “no intention of invading others” and would halt such attacks unless provoked. A temporary Iranian leadership council echoed the pledge, while senior officials rejected Trump’s demands for unconditional surrender, calling it “a dream” and vowing a “decisive” response to further US aggression.

Iranian forces continued limited operations, with the Revolutionary Guard Corps claiming strikes on regional targets including a possible US-linked air base in the UAE and an oil tanker in the Persian Gulf. Gulf states reported intercepting drones and missiles, and explosions were heard near Dubai, temporarily disrupting flights.

Trump has repeatedly stated there will be no negotiations without Iran’s unconditional surrender. US Central Command has described the mission as systematically dismantling Iran’s military and missile capabilities, with no indication of an imminent ceasefire.

The conflict has already claimed US military lives, with six service members killed in Kuwait; their remains are scheduled for dignified transfer today. Civilian areas in Iran have also been affected, with reports of strikes near hospitals and schools in Tehran and Esfahan.

As of Saturday evening, Israeli airstrikes continued over Iranian cities, and Iranian officials said they were scouting new US targets. The situation remains fluid, with global energy markets and regional airspace heavily disrupted.
