Protest in Nandyal Condemns Attack on Chief Justice B.R. Gavai
Nandyal, Oct 8:
Leaders of various social and political organizations in Nandyal held a protest at Gandhi Chowk in Old Town on Tuesday, strongly condemning the attack on the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India, Justice B.R. Gavai.
The incident, reportedly carried out by Manudharma Shastra Sanatana advocate Rakesh Kishore, has sparked widespread outrage across different sections of society.
Members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), the Caste Discrimination Eradication Committee (KVPS), and the Christian Joint Action Committee (JAC) came together to denounce the assault and express solidarity with Justice Gavai.
Addressing the gathering, Comrade Narasimhulu, Pastor Johnayyamannem emphasized that such attacks are not just against an individual but a direct assault on the Constitution and democratic values of India. They called upon citizens to unite against caste-based and religious intolerance, asserting that equality and justice are the pillars of the nation.
The protest concluded with slogans demanding strict legal action against those responsible and reaffirming the participants’ commitment to secular and constitutional principles.
