Nandyal, December 3, 2025: In a heartwarming display of interfaith harmony and political unity, the Christian Joint Action Committee (JAC) celebrated its 5th anniversary with the much-awaited “2025 Family Christmas Deepotsavam” on Tuesday evening. The grand festival of lights, held at the Nandyal Diocese grounds, brought together leaders from across political, religious, and social spectra in a rare show of solidarity ahead of Christmas.

The chief guest, Hon’ble Minister for Law, Justice and Minority Welfare, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Sri NMD Farooq, graced the occasion and extended warm Christmas greetings to the Christian community. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister praised the Christian JAC for its relentless service to minority welfare and lauded the community’s contribution to the state’s progress. “Andhra Pradesh is a shining example of communal harmony, and events like these strengthen the bonds of brotherhood,” he remarked while lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Hundreds of pastors, evangelists, retired government officials, leaders of public organizations, journalists, and local Christian families joined the celebration, turning the venue into a sea of twinkling lights and festive cheer.

Cultural programs, carol singing, and a special prayer for peace and prosperity in the state marked the evening. A magnificent Christmas cake-cutting ceremony, led jointly by the Minister, the two Bishops, and political leaders, symbolized unity in diversity and drew loud applause from the gathering.

Speaking to the media, Rev. Sajjanasaradhi, one of the JAC Chairmen, said, “Today we are overwhelmed to see leaders from BJP, TDP, Congress, and the ruling YSRCP standing shoulder to shoulder with the Church. This is the true spirit of Christmas — love, peace, and togetherness.”

The Family Christmas Deepotsavam concluded with a spectacular fireworks display and distribution of gifts and sweets to children, leaving everyone with the promise of hope and goodwill as the state prepares to welcome the birthday of Jesus Christ.

The Christian JAC expressed General Secretary Ps.Jhonayyamannem profound gratitude to all dignitaries and participants for making the 5th anniversary celebration a memorable milestone in its journey of service and fellowship.
