Colombo, Sri Lanka – October 15, 2025

In a celebration of female leadership and innovation, Deepali Gotadke, a pioneering entrepreneur from North Karnataka, India, has been awarded the "Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur in E-Commerce & Digital Innovation" at the 15th Top50 Professional & Career Women Global Awards 2025. The prestigious event, organized by Women in Management (WIM), took place on October 9 at the iconic Shangri-La Colombo, drawing global trailblazers to honor 15 years of empowering women's stories across industries.

The awards, themed "15 Years, 1200 Stories, One Global Movement," spotlighted exceptional women driving economic and social change. Held alongside the WIM Top50 Global Economic Forum from October 7-9, the gala featured tributes to leaders in fields ranging from corporate governance to sustainability. Gotadke's recognition underscores her two-decade journey in digital transformation, where she has empowered local businesses through cutting-edge e-commerce solutions.

A computer science engineer with over 24 years in the field, Gotadke founded WebDreams India in 2001—a full-service digital agency specializing in e-commerce, SEO, and web development—and ClickHubli.com, a hyperlocal platform connecting Hubli's consumers and vendors. As one of the first women entrepreneurs in her region, she has scaled her ventures to serve clients in more than 300 Indian cities, fostering digital inclusion and economic growth in underserved areas.

"I'm very happy to share that I've received the 'Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur in E-Commerce & Digital Innovation' award," Gotadke shared on social media shortly after the ceremony, expressing her gratitude. "Feeling grateful and happy!" Her win adds to a distinguished list of accolades, including the 2010 High-Performing Woman IT Entrepreneur award from the Government of Karnataka and the 2022 Women Achiever Award from the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industries—milestones that highlight her resilience and impact on women's entrepreneurship.

The event, which launched earlier this year in Colombo, featured trophies crafted from dolomite stones sourced from Sri Lanka's ancient Pollonnaruwa District, symbolizing enduring strength. Other honorees included Udara Cumaratunga for her contributions to professional excellence and Stasshani Jayawardena as Trailblazing Corporate Leader, reflecting WIM's commitment to amplifying diverse voices in a male-dominated global landscape.

Gotadke's story resonates amid rising calls for gender parity in tech and business. From resolving North Karnataka's first cybercrime case in the early 2000s to mentoring startups via Goldman Sachs' 10,000 Women program, her work exemplifies how innovation can bridge regional divides. As e-commerce in India surges toward a $350 billion market by 2026, leaders like Gotadke are pivotal in democratizing access for small enterprises.

WIM, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing women in management, has hosted these awards annually since 2011, evolving into a platform for policy dialogues and networking. This year's edition emphasized sustainable development and inclusive growth, aligning with global agendas like the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Reflecting on her latest honor, Gotadke's journey—from a young engineer in Hubli to a global awardee—serves as inspiration for aspiring women in STEM and entrepreneurship. "This recognition is not just mine but a nod to the countless women breaking barriers in digital spaces," she added in her post.

As the dust settles on Colombo's glittering night, Gotadke returns to India, ready to innovate further. For more on her ventures, visit deepali.in.
