Kalaburagi, June 27 – Residents of Ward No. 47 have demanded that the current road from lohat petrol pump to Ivan e shai road to be renamed as David Simeon Marg. The delegation, led by social activist , submitted a memorandum to the city corporation's mayor.
The delegation appealed that in honor of the significant public service and contributions made by the late David Simeon in this area, the road should be renamed.
the delegation and others submitted the request, highlighting that David Simeon had served society for decades, including being part of the City Development Authority and serving the citizens faithfully.
He had actively participated in political and social activities since 1980 and was elected corporator of Ward 47 for two terms. His work was notable in areas like urban development, water supply, and drainage systems.
His efforts included resolving civic issues, representing public grievances, and implementing government schemes. Recognizing these contributions, the citizens have urged for renaming the road in his memory.
The delegation included: local Leaders , social workers, dignitaries, family members of David Simeon, well-wishers, and residents of Ward 47. They all appealed to the mayor and city corporation to act on their request
